			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Ad agency <a href="http://www.tbwa.no"><strong>TBWA/OSLO</strong></a>, <strong>Norway</strong> came up with a unique way to inform snow enthusiasts when it&#8217;s snowing at their local hill.  <strong><a href="http://www.tryvann.no/index.jsp?SDP_CHANGE_USERLANG=en">Tryvann Winter Park</a></strong> is located <strong>15</strong> minutes from the center of <strong>Norway&#8217;s capital city Oslo</strong>.</p>
<p>What was created, is a mini snowstorm inside a transparent <strong>billboard</strong> controlled by sending an SMS.</p>

<p><em>What is a </em><em><strong><a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zoetrope">zeotrope</a></strong></em><em>?</em>  It is a device that produces an illusion of action from a rapid succession of static pictures&#8230;.a lot like a <strong><a href="http://www.truactionflix.com">flipbook</a></strong>!! <em><strong>lol</strong></em></p>
<p>The earliest elementary <strong>zeotrope</strong> was created in<em> China</em> back in <strong><em>180</em>AD</strong> by the inventor <strong>Ting Huan</strong>.  All though it never become popular until the <em><strong>1860</strong></em>&#8217;s when it was patented by <strong>William F. Lincoln</strong>.</p>
<p>In <strong><em>2008</em></strong> <strong>Sony</strong> built a<strong><em> 10</em></strong> meter wide, <em><strong>10</strong></em> tonne <strong>zeotrope</strong> called the <strong><em>BRAVIA-drome</em></strong> to promote the <strong>Motionflow</strong> <em><strong>200</strong></em>Hz. <em><strong><a href="http://www.adgabber.com/video/video/show?id=546804%3AVideo%3A157426">(VIDEO)</a></strong></em>  To create this illusion; first they chose pictures featuring a <em>Brazilian</em> footballer (soccer), they added <strong><em>3</em></strong> <strong>new frames per second  </strong>for a total of <em><strong>64</strong></em> images.  The purpose of this is to demonstrate that with increased frame rate, there is an increased smoothness in motion.   <strong>Sony&#8217;s</strong> <strong>zeotrope</strong> can reach <em>speeds</em> up to <strong><em>50</em></strong>km/hr.</p>
<p>I think this was a great campaign because it relinquishes History, they broke a  <strong><a href="http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com">Guinness World Record</a></strong> and<strong> </strong>the music is pretty kick ass too! lol</p>

<p><strong>Ad agency</strong> <a href="http://www.arnoldworldwide.com"><strong>Arnold Worldwide</strong></a> was in charge of a spectacular <em>promotional stunt</em> for <a href="http://www.carnival.com"><strong>Carnival Cruise Lines</strong></a>&#8230;&#8230;unfortunately <strong>Arnold Worldwide&#8217;s</strong> <em>Boston</em> division overlooked the dangers associated with unleashing <strong><em>8,000</em></strong> pounds of candy to <em>Philadelphia</em> locals, and was shut down by police. <em><strong><a href="http://link.brightcove.com/services/link/bcpid1370868150/bctid1902609678">(VIDEO)</a></strong></em></p>
<p>Not only was this<em> <strong>60</strong></em> foot tall, <em><strong>25</strong> </em>ton <em><strong>&#8220;Trojan Horse&#8221;</strong></em> pinata a <em>promotional stunt</em>, but an attempt to set a new <a href="http://www.guinessworldrecords.com"><strong>Guinness World Record</strong></a>.  Construction which took <em><strong>3</strong> </em>weeks to manufacture was also intended for a <strong><em>new</em> TV</strong> <strong>commercial</strong>.</p>
